Who We Are...

GuerrillaTrivia.com is an organization dedicated to pure trivial competition. We are people who grew up wondering why the most extraneous information couldn’t be knocked out of our heads – even by the biggest of playground bully, junior high school jock or college bluebook exam. Sure, some of us have an interest in sports or space, others in history or music, and still others feel they have a lock on movies or politics. The list of categories is endless – as are so-called experts.

With a passion for the useless facts banging around inside our heads, we searched for the ultimate trivia competition. Just as our ancestors sought out fun in parlor games, such as “Twenty Questions,” radio gave us “Quiz Kids,” and early television game shows were created to fill the void with “Twenty One” and “The $64,000 Question,” along with “The GE College Bowl” (which was the purest example of trivia competition ever), newer generations have had “Jeopardy” (perhaps the most beloved and respected of trivia game shows), the “Weakest Link” and “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” – we have continued to look for a way to bring people together in live, real-time tournaments, from different geographical areas – and experience the old feelings. We believe GuerrillaTrivia.com is bringing a new reality to that old feeling.
